This online module is week 9 of Prof. Sarah Byosiere’s hybrid course, Companion Animals in Society. The class meets in person on alternate weeks and students complete assignments during the weeks when the class does not meet. Student activities for this module include viewing the instructor-recorded lecture, doing required readings, and reviewing a selection of websites and videos of their choice. An additional assignment for this week is part of a social media project that spans the whole semester. Students have been guided in using Twitter for academic purposes and this week, they are asked to post a science-related tweet that they drafted. The last assignment of this module is an asynchronous class discussion where students are asked to respond to one of two prompts and respond to each other.
